Meet Our Board
The planetarium is run by a board who are also volunteers and show presenters. They are passionate about sharing their love of astronomy and contributing to our community.
Cristina Della Rosa
Board President
Cristina wears many hats including program planning, publicity, grant writing, and sending out our newsletter. She enjoys astronomy and astronaut humor.
Steve Kocsis
Vice President
Steve is interested in cosmology including black holes He has been to eight total solar eclipses. He is the host of Star Party, a radio spot of KTOO. Hs is a mathmatician and has taught math astronomy at UAS.
Rosemary Walling
Secretary/JSD Liaison
Rosemary organizes JSD classroom visits to the planetarium. She creates and presents programming relating to the JSD science curriculum. She also helps with outreach, grant writing and publicity. She teaches astronomy at UAS.
Dave Hanson
Treasurer
Dave is a busy bee working at NOAA and staying up late doing astrophotography. He is our tech guru and presents on a variety of topics.
Quinn White
Board Member
Quinn's interests include the James Webb Space Telescope. He works at the Alaska State Museum.
Saffron
Mascot
She was adopted from the Juneau Animal Shelter and dreams of walking on Mars.
